Yesterday All My Troubles...

Yesterday was definitely a better day, no accidents all day but I was home with the girls all day so I had a better schedule (every 2 hours) and really kept an eye on them. The weather has been so crappy that they don't even want to go out and when they do they are in such a hurry that they forget why they are out there - it is to do their business!!!

We live in a woods and have a certain area for them to go but they get tired of the same old same old so sometimes we have to walk down the driveway to that side of the woods and go in there. If one goes there, then the other follows. Not bad when the weather is decent but in the cold rain, let's just stay by the house, we can save the end of the driveway for another time.

We all went on a 3 mile hike yesterday before the rain and that really tired them both out, me too. At about midnite, we got up in the cold rain to go poopies and potty but DeDe forgot to potty so we went out again at 1:30 am to do that. I could tell she had to pee, she was restless and wouldn't quit moving, a good sign, I do the same thing when I have to pee, I move around hoping I'll just fall back to sleep but after 10 minutes or so, I know it is hopeless so I get up. I can relate to DeDe's dilemma. After her potty break, she slept like a baby.

Some Days

Today is the first day of my new dog blog, after yesterday it was time to share, either that or explode. The day started just like any other, I was on my exercise machines, something I do every morning even tho I hate it almost 99% of the time. By now, it is automatic, get it done and then start my day. And as usual, I left the dogs, Mojo and DeDe to themselves, they were just starting their day too, curling on a chair, fighting, the usual. Then I hear movement but I am too busy trying to get my exercising done that I just keep going and unfortunately, DeDe decided to get going too. Right in the middle of the carpet. Now our main floor is mostly wood floors, not that I invite accidents there but it is much less disturbing. No, she picked the bedroom carpet, made a nice yellow spot and acted like nothing unusual. After a lot of yelling and screaming and wondering what the hell is wrong with this dog, I cleaned up the mess, sprayed a bottle of spot remover and smell disguiser on the spot and we all left for the day.

Most days I take the girls with me to work, I work out of my car and if the weather is agreeable we all go together. They seem to like it even tho they basically lay on the front seat and sleep but as soon as I open the car door to leave each morning, they jump in ready for a day of laying in the car while I make my stops.

Yesterday morning, the girls didn't want to eat, not a big deal, sometimes they do that but after a long day in the car and several walks with poopies, I figured they were getting hungry. I was in one of my last stops of the day when DeDe decided that the sample bag of potato chips in the back seat looked good. After she opened the bag all over the front seat and floor, she decided they were too salty for her and she wanted something sweet. I get that. So she grabbed a sample wrapped cookie and started on that. That's when I walked up, discovered the little shit and calmly took the cookie away from her, asked her to go up to the front seat and felt my blood pressure rising. I could just see the grease from the chips penetrating into my front seat as I searched for a vacuum cleaner in Hutchinson. Now I stop at lots of convenience stores and have been to Hutchinson many times but I have never looked for a vacuum before. Luckily we found one before I decided to tie both dogs up to a stop sign with a Free poster next to them.

Today we are starting all over again, it seems with two little weiner dogs that happens a lot.
